10 minutes 55GB, China's rail transit is the first to enter the 5G era

On the 14th, the reporter learned from CZ Zhuzhou that the large-capacity data dump system based on 5G communication technology independently developed by the company (hereinafter referred to as 5G dump system) was successfully applied in the Chengdu Locomotive Depot to realize the high-speed of vehicle data. The download marks that China's rail transit has taken the lead in the 5G era.

 

During the running of the train, a large amount of monitoring data will be generated. When the vehicle is returned to the locomotive section, it needs to be transferred and stored for the locomotive section to carry out vehicle operation and maintenance research and analysis. With the implementation of the train conductor and the round-trip system, the in-vehicle data, especially the car video data, has proliferated. At present, the car video data is generally carried out by the flight attendant U disk manual dumping, often causing U disk damage, video loss or vandalism. Such problems, the use of security in the locomotive segment brings great hidden dangers.



 

In order to realize the automatic wireless high-speed download of vehicle video data, CZ Zhuzhou and Huawei have jointly developed a 5G dump system for rail transit application scenarios, and in November 2018, the loading service was applied in the Chengdu Locomotive Depot. The application results show that the system can quickly complete the landing of 55GB of vehicle data in 10 minutes, which is more than 100 times of the transmission speed under the same working conditions of the current standard WLAN. It effectively solves the problem of data loss and abnormality in the current manual operation, and provides rich data support for the analysis of locomotive operation, which effectively guarantees the safety of locomotive operation.

 

It is reported that the current in-vehicle data dump system commonly used in the world uses 3G or 4G communication transmission, and the transfer transmission efficiency is low. The successful development of the 5G dump system will break the data transmission bottleneck under the big data intelligent operation and maintenance application scenario. It can be widely used in trunk locomotives, high-speed trains and urban rail trains, and can also be applied to other fields such as wind power and electric vehicles. High-bandwidth data transmission will provide strong technical support for China to seize the high-end market of international rail transit in the 5G era.
