Recently, Mr. Mo Pei, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of South Africa in China, and Mr. Yan Yan, South Africa, visited our group. The two sides have conducted in-depth and extensive exchanges. South Africa is the main economy of the African continent, agriculture, mining, information industry, new energy, nuclear power construction, and the ocean. The economy is a dominant industry in South Africa, and China and South Africa have good prospects for cooperation in these areas.

Li Jianjun, the chairman of our group, said: The One Belt, One Roadinitiative conforms to the trend of the times and fits the urgent desire of all countries to seek win-win cooperation and common development, which has been widely recognized by the international community. In recent years, the Belt and Roadhas changed from an initiative to an action, from concept to practice, and has brought a full development opportunity, a sense of well-being and happiness to the participating countries and people of all countries.

Mr. Mopei, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of South Africa in China, said: The benefits of the Belt and Road Initiativeinitiative for Africa should not be limited to the construction of infrastructure projects such as railways and bridges, but should be regarded as an overall attempt to unite the world together. The Belt and Roadis an excellent opportunity for Africa. South Africa should lead Africa to build the Belt and Roadand participate in the One Belt, One Roadinternational cooperation.

Mr. Yan, a South African businessman, said: The One Belt, One Roadinitiative is expected to become the engine of a new round of globalization, becoming the foundation of the global industrial chain and promoting global development and prosperity. The Belt and Road Initiativecontains aviation content, which is of great significance to African countries.

The two sides reached a consensus on green agriculture and environmental protection projects and energy projects in cooperation with South Africa. Both parties stated that the minimum cost is considered, and renewable energy is not subject to any restrictions. It includes hydroelectric power, photovoltaics, wind energy, and coal and natural gas. South Africa will increasingly use renewable energy in its latest integrated energy plan, which will also help South Africa reduce its dependence on coal. Through this negotiation, our group hopes to contribute more to the economic development of the countries along the Belt and Road and the African region.
