Recently, our group delegation visited the State Department of Terengganu, Malaysia, the West Coast Economic Development Committee, and the Ganzhou Government for in-depth exchanges on energy, mineral development and deep sea port facilities. The first stop of the inspection was in Terengganu, Malaysia. The local minister of state and the local government had a cordial and friendly exchange with the group.

Terengganu is one of the 13 states in Malaysia, the capital of Kuala Terengganu, located on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, to the south of the South China Sea, to the north and northwest of Kelantan, to the south and southwest to Pahang, and to the main state of Terengganu. The economic activities are services, manufacturing and agriculture. Terengganu is a tropical rainforest climate with a coastline of 230 kilometers along the coast and many island and forest tourism resources. The Terengganu state government is trying to diversify the state's economic activities, and has set up many industrial zones in the areas of Kuala Terengganu, Longyun and Ganma.

In the meeting with the Group, the Minister of State of Terenglou, Malaysia, proposed to get help to build a fertilizer plant and a methanol plant project. Our group has a good cooperative relationship with China's large-scale engineering companies, and has established extensive cooperative relations with many internationally renowned companies in many overseas countries. And have rich experience in environmental projects, agriculture, electricity, building materials, light industry and other foreign projects. The construction technology of the fertilizer plant and the methanol plant construction is also familiar. If the cooperation is successful, it will be the capacity cooperation and technology export project under the “Belt and Road Initiative” initiative, which will become the benchmark and demonstration project for the “Belt and Road” construction in China and Malaysia. After the project is put into production, Terengganu, Malaysia will greatly improve the dependence of fertilizers and methanol on imports.

Subsequently, our group and the West Coast Economic Development Committee conducted a project cooperation negotiation on the establishment of refinery and quartz mine development. The local West Coast Economic Development Committee expressed its great hope to reach project cooperation with our group. Malaysia is rich in mineral resources, with considerable reserves of tin, iron, gold, coal, oil and natural gas. Quartz mine is the main raw material of ferrosilicon plant and crystalline silicon plant. It is used to produce ferroalloy raw materials such as ferrosilicon and silicomanganese. It is also the main raw material for glass production in glass factories. Quartz sand is a quartz particle obtained by crushing quartz stone. Quartz stone is a non-metallic mineral, a hard, wear-resistant, chemically stable silicate mineral.

The unique physical and chemical properties of quartz sand make it play an important role in aviation, aerospace, electronics, machinery and the rapidly developing IT industry, especially its intrinsic molecular chain structure, crystal shape and lattice change law. Its high temperature resistance, small coefficient of thermal expansion, high insulation, corrosion resistance, piezoelectric effect, resonance effect and its unique optical properties play an increasingly important role in many high-tech products.

Our group expressed its willingness to participate in the construction of refinery and participate in the development of quartz mine. Then our group arrived in Zhangzhou to inspect the site of Hesha import and conducted in-depth inspections on the import of quartz sand. The construction of deep-sea port facilities is also the inspection project of our group. One. Located in the northern and central parts of Peninsular Malaysia, Cangzhou is the fourth largest state in Malaysia. It is bordered by Thailand to the north, Kelantan and Pahang to the east, Selangor to the south, the Malacca Strait to the west, and Kedah to the northwest. And Penang State. Before the 20th century, the economic industry in Zhangzhou was mainly tin mines. Later, the state government gradually shifted the mining industry to economic development such as industry, agriculture, and construction. In addition, the state government has gradually focused on economic activities such as fisheries, wood and tourism. The state capital, Ipoh, has gradually developed into an important business, education and investment center and is one of the more progressive cities in Malaysia.

The official start of construction of the Malaysian East Coast Railway, which was actively promoted by President Xi Jinping, has driven Malaysia to further strengthen its dependence on China in infrastructure and transportation port construction. In terms of industrial park construction, cooperation projects between Malaysia and China have also become increasingly prominent. East Malaysia faces the South China Sea and is an important area in the “Belt and Road” route from Southeast Asia to India and the Middle East. Through this meeting, our group reached a preliminary consensus with the Malaysian government, and found many common opportunities in energy development, mineral development and infrastructure transportation construction, laying the foundation for the next project implementation.
